Mathrubhumi Kalyan Silks Film Awards for 2010 announced, Kadha Thudarunnu, Pranchiyettan and Saint sweep the major awards. Mammootty won the Best Actor award for his performance in Pranchiyettan and the Saint while Mamta Mohandas bags the Best Actress Award for her performance in Kadha Thudarunnu. Director Renjith’s Pranchiyettan and the Saint wins the award for Best Film of 2010.

The awards will be distributed in a star studded mega event on April 3 in Thrissur.

Best New Comer – Female: Ann Augustine (Elsamma Enna Aankutty)

Best Screenplay: Renjith (Pranchiyettan and the Saint)

Best Cinematographer: Venu (Pranchiyettan and the Saint)

Best Editor: Arun Kumar (Cocktail)

Best Art Director: Manu Jagad (Pranchiyettan and the Saint)

Best Costume Design: Sameera Sanish (Various Films)

Best Music Director: M. Jayachandran (Shikkar, Karayilekku Oru Kadal Dooram)

Best Lyricist: Rafeeq Ahmed (Anwar)

Best Playback Singer – Male: Vijay Yesudas (“Neeyam Tanalinu” – Cocktail, “Itile Thozhi” – Elsamma Enna Aankutty)
