Indian Rupee Opens Well; Excellent Reports

Ranjith’s Indian Rupee open well with 50-60% collections across Kerala, and in big cities, the film took an 70-85% opening. The film had housefull collections in Kochi multiplexes.

The film carries excellent reports and is well received by the Malayalee Audience.

Early report suggest that the film is for class audience and the long run of the film will depends on its acceptance among the mass audience.

Indian Rupee features Prithviraj, and Rima Kallingal in the lead supported by Thilakan, Nedumudi Venu, Innocent, Jagathy Sreekumar, Lalu Alex, and Shweta Menon.

      jish,i agree with nikhi’s view.but i want to tell u that he is featuring in all sites from sify,webduniya ,youtube to movieraga for promoting IR .his reaction range from die hard pritvi fan to NEUTRAL depending upon other’s comment.

        i request vishnu to watch indian rupee…it proves the caliber of prithviraj as an actor…

      that’s true and I think I will always remain one.I am ready to accept anyone but rayappan.Be it Fahad Fazil,Asif Ali,Kunjakko ,Indrajith, Unni Mukundan and the entire bunch of new comers.I admire Mohanlal and Mammootty.I love Dileep’s comic timing.I admire Ranjith as well as Tilakan .Even though Mammootty,Ranjith and Tilakan are arrogant and harsh they have proved themselves and had made their presence felt through innumerable films.Rayappan even before reaching any stage has started criticizing his seniors .But the criticism was not seen in his own body of work.
      And about the financial gain of this film,I will say it is important it should become a hit for all concerned with these movies.It has got excelent reviews ,excellent word of mouth but if still if the film is not benefited means the hatred for Rayappan is huge.I feel the benchmark lifetime net from theater for this film should be 6 to 7 cr atleast.(Same as salt n pepper and Traffic).

    Moorthy sir (movieraga) has given just average rating for Pritvi’s acting and negative remark for his calicut slang.പ്രാഞ്ചിക്കു കൊടുത്ത തൃശൂർമലയാളം കാണികൾ കൈനീട്ടി സ്വീകരിച്ച ഓർമയിലായിരിക്കണം ജെ പിക്ക് മലബാർ മലയാളം സമ്മാനിച്ചത് രഞ്ജിത്ത്. പക്ഷേ, പൃഥ്വിരാജ് അതു പറഞ്ഞുവന്നപ്പോൾ കോഴിക്കോടു മുതൽ കോട്ടയം വരെയുള്ള മിക്ക ഡയലക്‌റ്റുകളും ആ കഥാപാത്രത്തിന്റെ നാവിൽ നിന്നു കേട്ടു. ഈ വിചിത്രമായ ഭാഷ സംസാരിക്കുന്ന ഒരാൾ പോലും ഈ ജെ പിയുടെ കുടുംബത്തോ പരിസരത്തോ ഇല്ല എന്നതാണ് കൂടുതൽ രസകരം.AND IN PERFORMANCE രഞ്ജിത്തിനൊപ്പം തന്നെ പരാമർശിക്കപ്പെടേണ്ട രണ്ടു പേരുണ്ട് ഈ ചിത്രത്തിൽ: തിലകനും ജഗതി ശ്രീകുമാറും.     i wont say jp IS prithvi’s best.esp some of the scenes in the first half were nt dat great.like the pennu kaanal scene in which prithvi runs..but LOOK OUT FOR THE SCENE IN WHICH PRITHVI ASKS THILAKAN” ITHRAYUM KAALAM EVIDE ARNU?”.-HE WAS SIMPLY SUPERB ,SIMLARLY JAGATHY’S HOUSE SCENE WAS ALSO GUD…
    he definitely has a long way to go…but definitely he has got the caliber and talent…with gud directors ,gud writers he will improve even more…..

    My take on rayappan is that he had tried all tricks when he had nothing to boast off.If he has something tomorrow he will be worse than this.My hatred for him is so huge that I can’t see his movie in a theater in the near future beacuse of his arrogance.And i still believe he is not a great talent.
    And why can’t IR collect 7 cr with everything going in its favour.Pranchiyettan did I think.It opened slowly and in the long run went on to match Shikkar which released huge.
    And I will promote every good movie without Rayappan.I have personally recommended T .D.Dasan after its dvd release .I have made atleast a 50 people to watch Melvilasam in theater.I will continue to do so.But rayappan is a big no

      have no problems with that…
      i agree with yu that p raj has got some problems with the attitude…but i firmly believe that he got what he desreved for that..
      but after a while all these criticism and abuses went overboard and was getting too much personal….infact that made me a die hard supporter of him…i wud say it arose more from sympathy than anything else…
      anyays this guy has got talent and i m sure he will iomprpve in due course of tym…
      ps- some vested intersts in the film industry is taking advantage of his attitude to broaden their own careers…i have personal experience on it…
