Malayalam Top 5 – Week Ending October 13, 2011

Ranjith’s Indian Rupee has taken a decent opening and is doing excellent business in the big cities. Snehaveedu continue to do well, but collections started to slide after second weekend.

Salt N Pepper completes 100 days, and managed to collect approximately 5.75 Crore (57.5 Million) from the release centers.

    Seems like Antony Perumbavoor produced films details are unavailable.Anyway do update on the actual collection of Indian Rupee.I am surprised that My dear Kuttichathan managed 3 cr with limited release and salt n pepper manaed only 5.75 cr from 100 day run

    The remark should be – “Expected To ” Collect approximately 3 Crores in its re-release. :)

    Did you mean gross of 3 crores for MDK..if its share or net its impossible figure with its limited release…

    Indian rupee collected 3.95 cr from 2 weeks.

    so the share will be more than 1.6 crores..
    at a budget of just 2.5 crores it will recover it from theaters alone..

    so various rights will fetch about 2.5 crores will be profit..

    yes what yu said is right…
    btw the next good news is that Mohanlal-satysn-sheela Sneehaveedu is also a reasonably big hit…the movie has collected 40 lacs+ (according to velli) from tvm alone…
    here in ekm also the two movies(snehaveedu,Indian rupee) are getting a reasonably good crowd especially in weekends.
    the diwali big releaese might take away a sizeable number of screens from both these films,lets hope they continue to do well in big cities…..
    long live malayalam cinema..let gud movies become hits and garner a cpl of awards too…
