Mohanlal’s Casanovva opened to a grand response in 130 cinemas across Kerala. The film was expected to break all opening week records. Eventhough there was no offical statement from the producers, there were all kind of media reports about the box office figures ranging from 1.6 Crore to 3.12 Crore.

Dileep-Lal Jose team’s Spanish Masala took the best opening for a Dileep starrer in the recent times collecting approximately 2.5 crore in its opening week. Spanish Masala showed drop on its second week collections. Completely shot in Spain, this big budget flick might end up as a loss-making venture.

Padmasree Bharat Dr. Saroj Kumar emerges as one of the biggest disappointment in the recent times, still continue top the Controversy Chart.

Mohanlal’s Oru Marubhoomi Kadha is doing well in B & C class centers.

    Sad start to the year 2012. Though casanovva and spanish masala are collecting money well, both films are not upto the expectations. Second show is nothing great, but very good attempt by the makers of the film. Njanum ente familiyum was another let down from jayaram.
