Revathy Varma’s Maad Dad Makes Audience Mad

Review By: Sreejith

Revathy Varma’s Maad Dad leaves the audience mad. Maad Dad tells the story of Palachottil Geevarghese Kuriakose Easow (Lal) and his daughter Maria (Nazriya).

Lal, Meghna Raj and Nazriya is a small and happy family where Nazriya is daughter of the lucky couples Lal and Meghna. Oh.. sorry there is a twist here! Lal’s wife as earlier mentioned played by Meghna was already dead, and Lal lives in her memories and believes that she is with him.

And then comes daughter’s beau Bonny (Sreejith Vijay) and his father Soda Mathan (Lalu Alex). Thanks to Maria’s (Nazriya) reavelation that she is in love and what to marry Bonny. There are many songs in the movie, infact the movie starts with a song itself. And it doesnt ends here there are 3 songs in the first 20 mins or so! Yes you read it write in the “first 20 minutes”.

Oh sorry.. I cannot describe this movie beyond this… as I am already mad… and I don’t know what I written!

The film is the best example of how not to make a movie as it qualifes for the Razzies in Malayalam in the all category including script, directon, acting,

Half Star only for the poor producer who spent his hard earned money (if so) and lets keep the script, and print of this MAAD DAD in a film museum so that students learning film making can refer to learn how not to make film. Dont even watch this one on television even if you have time and patience.

Remember that you will hear the name Palachottil Geevarghese Kuriakose Easow a lot many times in the movie so be prepared to get irritated and then bored.

Note: Please don’t contact me to understand what I have written in the first few paragraph, because I am already gone MAAD.
